The magical, mystical Isle of Skye, where according to legend there are fairies inhabiting various locations....

The Fairy Glen

The Fairy Glen is situated on the Trotternish peninsula near Uig and is a really peaceful spot, known to be familiar to the fairies.  Here you will also find the home of Castle Ewen, the easily recognisable rock tower that many visitors climb to enjoy the stunning views.

The Fairy Pools

These large pools of water are a 20-minute scenic journey to walk to, situated at the foot of the Cuillin Mountains. Their crystal clear waters shimmering like liquid diamonds create a colourful mix of blue green hues under the surface. It is said that Selkies were attracted here to turn into human form and bathe in the moonlight.

The Fairy Flag, Dunvegan Castle and the Fairy Bridge

The Fairy Flag is to be found in Dunvegan Castle but is thought to have come from The Fairy Bridge which is 3 miles away from the Castle. This site is magical but also a bit tragic as this is supposed to be the last location where the Chief of Clan Macleod saw his Fairy wife before leaving to return to Fairyland.  It is also said that The Fairy Flag has the ability to save him from danger when it is waved.
